Salford City FC Seek New Manager

Following last night’s defeat to Ossett Albion Salford City FC have parted company with team manager Paul Wright.

Despite good cup runs in FA competitions, this success has not been transferred into league matches and, of late, performances and results have been disappointing.

Paul Wright will be remembered in the folklore of Moor Lane for his role in last season’s ‘Great Escape’ when potential relegation was avoided on a memorable final day at Garfoth. Unfortunately, this season, the team has not made the progress anticipated and we again find ourselves at the wrong end of the league table.

Successive defeats to teams below the club in the Unibond First Division North have put renewed pressure on us and it was felt by the club Committee that a change was needed.

Salford City FC extend their best wishes to Paul along with their thanks for all his efforts on behalf of the club.
