Lowe Hits 500 Mark for Curzon

Curzon Ashton manager Gary Lowe took charge of his side for the 500th time in Saturdays league game against Skelmersdale United in what is his tenth season at the Tameside club.

During his tenure Curzon have reached two North West Counties League Cup Finals, participated in an FA Vase semi-final, achieved promotion to the UniBond League, been involved in the play-offs for promotion to the Premier Division in both the last two seasons and last term beat Football League opposition in Exeter City as they made it through to the 2nd Round Proper of the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history.

Club Chairman Harry Galloway said “His unwavering commitment, hard work, expertise and enthusiasm have been major factors in the progress this club has made during his time in office and we are looking forward to him leading us in to the UniBond League Premier Division”.
