Glapwell v Alfreton Town - 31st July

Glapwell Football Club is turning its first ever home game at Field Mill into a party spectacular that reflects its community support.

The Evo-Stik First Division South club has decided to massively reduce entry to the mouth watering game with local high flyers Alfreton Town on the 31st of July to half the usual gate price and better. Entrance will be a mere £4 for adults, £2 for concessions, with all accompanied children getting in for free.

On top of that there will be chances on the day to win a family season ticket and a corporate season ticket and one lucky child will come away from the game with a once in a lifetime prize.

A prize draw will be made on the day for one youngster to be the official game mascot for Glapwell FC’s first ever FA Cup home game at Field Mill on Sunday the 29th of August.

Glapwell’s opponents for the Preliminary Round of the FA CUP will be either NCEL Premier Division side Lincoln Moorlands Railway or Friar Lane & Epworth of the Midland Football Alliance, who play each other in the Extra Preliminary Round for the right to face Glapwell.

The Official Mascot will be presented with a junior kit to wear, a signed match ball, will be presented to the teams prior to the game and will carry the official match ball onto the Field Mill pitch.

The Club has already extended an open invitation to all home games to serving members of HM Forces. It has also invited the local business community to come and see what the club has to offer via a voucher which allows free entry for Mansfield 2020 members.

Marketing Manager for Glapwell FC Graham Parker said of the moves: “The Alfreton Town pre-season game is the first opportunity people from around Mansfield will get the chance to see our players on the Field Mill turf. We want to turn the day into a community celebration of football, which is why we are inviting so many people to come and have a look at us.

“We are expecting a sizeable crowd to see our very first game at Field Mill for what should be an exciting game against our Blue Square Bet North neighbours; we would love to see you there cheering on Glapwell FC.

“We are a small club with a big heart that wants to embrace anyone from the community who likes football – so come on down to Field Mill and take part in the fun and football.”
