Latest from Romulus

Romulus head into their friendly this weekend against Chasetown with two more new signings added to the squad.

The midfield duo of Nathan Walker, formerly of Cheltenham Town, and Gavin Day both put pen to paper after the 2-2 draw at Wellingborough Town last Saturday.

The Roms gained their second draw of pre season in Northamptonshire with goals from Leon Blake and trialist Naveed Arshad. In an entertaining encounter Romulus deserved their half time lead but the game became more fragmented after the interval with a series of trialists coming in for both sides.

On Tuesday Romulus won 4-1 at Pelsall Villa with goals from new boys Walker and James Pugh in the first half and Marcus Brown and Tyrone Fagan in the last 20 minutes.

Romulus host Chasetown on Saturday, hoping to gain valuable experience from their rivals after the Scholars succesfully gained promotion from the Roms new league last season.

Kick off is 3pm at Coles Lane, with programmes containing a review of last season, preview to the new campaign as well as the full fixture list for 2010-11 available on the day.

Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and just £1 for children.

The next friendly then takes place away to Loughborough University next Saturday, kick off 2pm.

Romulus have also pencilled in two more friendlies for the final weekend befre the big kick off. They play landlords Sutton Coldfield on Friday 13th August at Coles Lane (KO 7.30pm) and travel to Bromsgrove Sporting the following day- subject to Bromsgrove's ground availability.
