Crilly Park Open Day Success

On Saturday [10th July] Leigh Genesis' inaugural Open Day at Crilly Park proved to be a huge success as over 200 people enjoyed the event in the sunshine at the club's new home on Saturday.

Adults and juniors alike were entertained by skill demonstrations from members of Mark Maddox's first team squad, while managers of the club's extensive junior section enjoyed playing their part in a huge inflatable football goal.

Club officials were on hand to show people around the ground's facilities while boss Mark Maddox, player-coach Andy Heald and players Chris Dykes, David Hill, Scott Sephton and Richard Ratcliffe were on hand to meet supporters, who were keen to order their season tickets for the new campaign as well as take a look at the club's new range of merchandise.

Genesis commercial manager Andy Walsh saw pledges for his upcoming 10k run come close to the £500 mark while there were a several lucky winners of dazzling array of raffle prizes later in the afternoon.

The club would sincerely like to thank all those who helped to make the day a success, not to mention the visitors for whom the day was intended, and we hope to see those people attending matches throughout the season.
